I always loved drawing when I was much younger, but being a wife and mother caused this to take a back seat.

In 2000 I had a life changing accident which shattered my spine and left me having to undergo extensive rehabilitation. However, it was this accident which enabled me to pick up artwork once again.

 

I started working on subjects close to hand, the birds in my garden, our own family pets and subjects from nature that struck a chord with my creative side. Initially I worked in oils and pastels. I experiment with botanical art and latterly I’ve found an infinity with coloured pencils.

I love learning through experimentation and found working on the London Art College qualification invaluable.

I find immense pleasure sitting in my studio and bringing images to life. Nothing compares to that moment when someone sees their commission for the first time.
